“…God called me
from restoring buildings
to restoring people.”
|
Hello, I’m Marvin Schwartz, I was born and raised in Indiana, growing up around the Geneva and Berne area. I’ve worked in construction most of my life. I have always appreciated working on and bringing life back to old buildings. Most of my construction work was in historical restoration. I guess that’s why I shouldn’t be surprised when God called me from restoring buildings to restoring people. Following God’s call and with a degree in Pastor Ministries from Taylor University, Fort Wayne, Indiana, I started restoration work with God’s people. I believe that God has called me to help churches rediscover what His church is supposed to be about. I believe that is why God has led me to the Rockford area and New Horizons Community Church. As a team, we are seeking to become a church where Christ and community will come together as one, a place where hurting people will find comfort and a place where God is pleased to call His own. |
