At NHCC, we have a very talented and dedicated group of pastors and ministry partners. Below, you will discover a little of the background of our staff, as well as a few fun facts about each of them!
Pastor Ken has been serving on staff at New Horizons since 2009. He first served for several years as the Worship Pastor, and then in the fall of 2019 assumed the role of Lead Pastor. He and his wife Pam have lived in the area their entire lives. Pam is a pharmacist at CVS in Berne Indiana and together they have one daughter Madison who is married to Clayton Agler and together they have a daughter, Ellie. They both reside in Cincinnati, Ohio. Maddie is a Nurse Practitioner, and Clayton is in Medical School at the University of Cincinnati. Pastor Ken has been a part of this church family since junior high school!

Matt Rhynehart
Pastor Matt has been serving at New Horizons Community Church since August 2012 when He and his wife, Michelle, moved to Rockford from Marlboro, New York. He originally came to serve as our Student Ministries Pastor, and in February 2020 he transitioned to the role of Teaching & Spiritual Formation Pastor. Matt and Michelle have four children — Adelyn, Zoe, Paisley, and Ethan — who are all homeschooled by Michelle! They also have two dogs, a Goldendoodle, named Buck, and a Cavapoo, named Hazel.
CHILDREN'S PASTOR
Todd Moser
Pastor Todd has been on staff as our Children's Pastor since the fall of 2012. He and his wife Teresa have 9 children and 5 grandchildren. Todd has a passion for teaching kids the Gospel and does a fantastic job of raising future generations of Christ-followers.
CARE PASTOR
Mark Ralph
Pastor Mark E Ralph joined our staff here at NHCC in January 2025 as Pastor of Care. Pastor Mark and his wife Ruth live in Ohio City and have been in full time ministry for 50 years. They have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. He is highly committed to biblical teaching and relational team building.
Michelle Agler
Michelle is the Student Ministries Director at New Horizons Community Church. She is an ordinary wife, mom, grandma, daughter, sister, mentor and friend.
She and her husband, Brent, have been married over 30 years. They have two children. Their eldest, Clayton, is married to Maddie and together they have one child, Ellie. Their youngest son is Cory.
Michelle has a deep passion for discipling others and helping them understand the difference between being "religious" and having a personal relationship with God. This passion resonates as she makes connections with those around her. She loves sharing life, in particular, with the students as she walks alongside them and encourages them to learn, understand, study, and apply Scripture to their everyday lives.

Dawn Agler
Dawn has been serving as the Ministry Assistant at NHCC since the Fall of 2017. Dawn and her husband, Cayle, have been serving in various roles at NHCC since returning from the mission field in 2014. She serves alongside the rest of the NHCC staff and helps coordinate our Ministry Partners and numerous other tasks that help serve God better. Dawn and Cayle have 4 daughters, 3 son-in-laws, 2 granddaughters, and 2 foster grandchildren.
