youth ministry
New Horizons Student Ministries exists to invite students into the Kingdom of God, to inspire them to grow in their faith through discipleship, to interact with other believers in love, to invest their lives in developing a Godly lifestyle, and to involve them in works of service to both Christ and others.
RISE YOUTH GROUP
Ages 5th grade through 7th grade.
IGNITE 4:12 YOUTH GROUP
Ages 8th grade through 12th grade.
E.G.G.S. BREAKFAST
Encouraging God's Great Students (E.G.G.S.) is an outreach breakfast for youth (5th -12th) in the community during the school year. Breakfast is served along with a Biblical message that encourages deeper comprehension and understanding of what it means to be a Christian. Join us and other youth from the area in the NHCC Family Life Center!

children's ministry
KidCity (our children's ministry) is about teaching your preschooler thru fifth grader about the Bible in a high energy and engaging way. This setting is divided between preschool thru Kindergarten, and 1st grade thru 5th grade. KidCity (including nursery) is available during both our Wednesday evening and Sunday morning worship gatherings.
Our Nursery is about the safety and loving care of infants up to preschool age children. You can be assured that while at NHCC your child will receive the best of care. Our nursery is available for both our Wednesday evening and Sunday morning worship gatherings.

We support a number of missionaries as a church, and we are committed to sending out short term missions teams from our church family.
LAUREL MISSION, BIG LAUREL, KY
Mission Teams serve in every ministry of Laurel Mission. They come with willing hands to help at Laurel Mission and in surrounding communities. They are “The Church” comprised of multiple denominations from 10 different states. Visit their site to learn more! www.laurelmission.com.
BELIZE MISSION TRIP
Ministry teams from NHCC partner with Bridge The Gap Ministries in Belize to share the Gospel message in the Black Man Eddy community through Vacation Bible School and Teen Camp. The team also serves by helping with any needed work on the campus during the time there.

RUTH RIVERA, THAILAND
Ruth will serve among the Isaan people group of Thailand and join the VMMissions and EMM team as they support the work of Life Enrichment Church. As a dentist, Ruth sees her profession as a way of blessing and sharing the gospel with others. She serves with United Brethren Global, in partnership with VMMissions.
Ruth comes from a United Brethren Church in La Ceiba, Honduras, and has had a long-term sense of call to missions. She has served in various capacities in her home church: as worship leader, youth leader and during her college years she served in a campus outreach ministry called Intervarsity.
MILTON & ERIKA PACHECO, THAILAND
Milton and Erika are from Honduras and helped to launch & grow the UB work in Chiang Rai, Thailand from 2017 to 2024. They are currently in Honduras mobilizing Latin Americans into missions. They will be returning to Thailand in late 2026 or 2027 to a lesser-reached part of Thailand to bring the Gospel to the unreached ethnic Thai Buddhists (55 million, 1.09% Christian).
The Pachecos serve through a partnership between the Honduran UB churches and UB Global.
